From my North Yorkshire studio I offer a range of Art Workshops and Art Courses – which include Art Tuition. In addition to my Original Fine Art and Commissioned Artwork, I also offer Bespoke Framing, Giclée Printing, Artwork Scanning and Fine Art Reproduction.
My original fine art and commissioned artwork spans varied subjects and media, from wildlife to pet portraits, home exteriors to home interiors, and landscape to still-life, aircraft, cars, and even the odd tractor. I work mainly in oil, pastel, gouache and watercolour, depending on the needs of the subject or my client.
My art workshops, art courses and art tuition follow my original fine art in their variety, subjects and media, and are tailored to fit the needs of all artists – though with a bias towards beginners or anyone interested in starting on their creative path.
I’ve been framing, giclée printing and finessing the fine art reproduction of my own, and other’s original fine art and photography for more than twenty years. I’ve recently added these products and services to my new online shop which I hope you’ll take the time to browse.

Original & Commissioned Art
Almost always with big brushes.
The majority of my original and commissioned pieces are oil paintings, but I also frequently work in watercolour and pastel, depending on the particular requirements of my subject, or client.As for my style, from abstract to architectural paintings I aim to make my work as simple as possible but no simpler. And as for scale, I’m equally at home working on a very large linen canvas or a small board, though almost always with big brushes.My commissioned pieces are essentially collaborative creations, where the personal connection, specific desires and vision of my clients demand a different emphasis; one where finding and expressing a singular feeling or meaning is the great challenge.

The significance of a time and place that’s special to us echos in a painting, gently inviting us to return, to feel our way back there in a way that a photograph never can.I’ve painted hundreds of architectural pieces, from homes to hotels, skyscrapers to ruins, workplaces to churches, and more; and I firmly believe that a painting of a special place leaves enough unsaid for us to return – as if we’d never left.
