Print Options. 1) Print Only. 2) Mounted Print – the print is mounted using conservation grade mountboard and backing boards, all presented in a cellophane wrap. 3) Framed Print – framed in your colour choice and ready to hang.

Print Size. This is my standard print size for this artwork, if you require a specific size of print please get in touch.

Framing Options. I’ve chosen three Farrow & Ball Paint Colours & one of my Conservation Grade Mountboards as a standard framing options package that complement my prints. In addition you can opt to select any of my standard F&B paint colours, or any F&B paint colour from their range for that matter – for a small charge. Or, specify any of my standard framing range if you require something more, you can view my standard framing range [here].

If you have your fine art print framed by me, it will be hand painted and finished to the same exacting levels of finish I apply to all of my frames – if you’d like to find out a bit more about what’s involved in making a hand finished frame click [here].

Environmentally Friendly Framing. Check out the tab below for more information, or my full Environmental Policy [here].

Frame Details. This frame design is from my standard range – Moulding Style 22 which you can view [here], in Obeche wood, hand finished with Farrow & Ball paint in three colour options.Ready To Hang. The frame is supplied ready to hang with all the fixings attached – so straight from the box to the wall.Glazing. I use Acrylic (you may recognise brand names like Plexiglass) for all my framing that requires glazing. Acrylic offers better protection against UV light than glass without specialised anti-UV treatments, it’s lighter and much less prone to transport damage, and it has no colour tint unlike glass.

Mountboard Details. I’ve opted for a single colour from my standard Conservation Grade Mountboard range – in this instance a Daler Tint 5 mountboard. If you choose the Mounted Print option, then the print is suppled mounted in a presentation cellophane wrap with a conservation grade backing board. Prints are supplied with a single mountboard, if you require a double mount option or a different mountboard colour please get in touch.

Colours On Your Screen. All screens show colour a little differently, so if you’re interested in seeing accurate framing colours, a paint colour card is the only way to go. I’ve included a link so you can obtain a (free) F&B colour card by clicking [here].

Artist: Julia NobleOriginal Artwork: Oil on BoardPrint Size: 8″ x 10″ (20cm x 25cm approx’)Frame Size Overall: 13″ x 15″ (33cm x 38cm approx’)Giclée Printed with a white border around the print – in addition to the print size above. All my fine art prints are printed in my studio using the highest quality archival inks and Hahnemühle paper (see tab below for more details).

Giclée printing uses a specialised inkjet printer, inks and papers to create high quality fine art prints that look great and last – literally a lifetime and more.

In creating Giclée reproductions of my original artwork I use the very best quality archival inks and papers to ensure the longest possible lifetime and colour accuracy.

And, as always all of the work is carried out in my studio; creating the original artwork, producing the digital master, Giclée printing, and packaging, so ensuring quality at every stage.

All Giclée prints are delicate, they deserve care when handling and hanging. The Giclée process lays the ink on a thin surface layer on the paper, leaving the printed finish vulnerable to damage. Matt finish papers require particular care when handling.

If you’re using mount board with your prints you should choose these with care also, ensuring that the board is also conservation or archival if the long lifetime is a feature of your print you value.

Giclée prints should always be framed behind acrylic or glass, and hung away from the attention of direct sunlight as all printed artwork is affected by exposure to intense Ultra Violet. Acrylic has a greater effect on reducing UV than normal glass. I supply acrylic with all my frames that will be used for prints.

Avoid contact with moisture or droplets of water as this will permanently damage the coated surface of the paper.

And finally, take time to enjoy your print, it’s easy to forget to just savour the moment!

Small scale creative business’ are almost always built on sound environmental foundations – we can’t afford waste and expect to stay in business for long.

In my pursuit of Environmentally Friendly Framing, I prioritise the use of responsibly sourced, sustainable, recycled/recyclable, and environmentally friendly materials in my studio and workshop, from start to finish. All my Framing Mouldings, and Backing Boards are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a link to FSC is [here] if you’d like more information about the work the FSC does for the environment.

The paints and wood stains I use are predominately water based, I only use other paint types when there isn’t a viable water based alternative. Farrow & Ball paints (which I use exclusively for my frame colours) are water based, as are the wood stains I use.

I only offer Conservation Grade Mountboards, this means that the board used meets the stringent criteria laid down by the Fine Art Trade Guild. The boards are lignin and optical brightener free, the surface papers are resilient, bleed resistant, acid free along with other specific material requirements that ensure the mountboard is colourfast, lasts and will not affect your artwork.

In addition the mountboards I offer are from UK based manufacturers that are also FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accredited suppliers.

Packaging is a particular feature for my work. I avoid plastics wherever possible – using recycled/recyclable when not, purchase from environmentally accredited suppliers, and use FSC certified cardboard and paper wherever possible. Also, my framing packaging is re-usable. If you’re sending your framed artwork on then simply keep and re-use the frame packaging!

Environmental policies (mostly) read like they’re written by robots, and many probably are. I suspect mine isn’t that different – though it is written by myself, a link to my full environmental policy – if you’d like to see for yourself is [here].
