Rosemary & Co Brushes
I’m always a little surprised by some artists’ indifference to their brushes. It has always seemed to me that I needed every advantage I could get when I wanted to make a painted mark – surface, paint and of course brushes. I’m a huge fan of Rosemary & Co Brushes, they’re Yorkshire folk after all! The brushes in the image are my Haidee-Jo Summers set which is a great starting point.

Michael Harding Paints
Over the decades (wince), I’ve tried many of the paints available, even making my own on occasion. And after much experimentation Micheal Harding paints are, for me at least, the best on the market, their colours are glorious and the paint is a joy to handle.

The Masters Brush Cleaner
I love this stuff, the best for preserving and cleaning brushes whatever medium I use. No matter how old or hardened my brushes, this seems to be able to revive them. Unfortunately I haven’t yet found a UK made equivalent, but I’m still looking.

Paint Tube Wringer
Art supplies are expensive, particularly paint. Most artists in my experience are very frugal so this really appeals! There are plenty of this type of product available, I’ve linked to my heavy duty version below. Peter Keegan introduced me to the Tube Wringer on a painting course, and since then no tube goes un-wringed!

Unison Pastels
I’ve used Unison Pastels for years, but only recently found out that you can tour their workshop in the Northumberland National Park where they hand-make their lovely pastels – I’ll no doubt post a short review when curiosity drops me at their front door.

Just to confirm that my recommendations are given freely - I'm not associated or connected with any of the companies in any way - other than as a user, and of course fan, of their products.
